Acidchem International Sdn Bhd

Acidchem, a subsidiary of IOI Oleochemical Industries Berhad, was incorporated in 1976 as a private limited company. It spearheads the Group's oleochemical business with its production and sale of fatty acids and glycerine. The fatty acids are produced under the renowned brand name Palmac®.

Currently, Acidchem has an installed capacity of 350,000MT/annum making it the largest vegetable-based Oleochemicals producer in Asia. The latest plant facilities were designed and constructed by the Group's Project team, using the latest state-of-the-art technology and fully computerised Distributed Control System ( DCS ).

Acidchem produces straight distilled, fractionated and hydrogenated fatty acids and oleic acid, BP/USP grades of 99.7% Glycerine. Acidchem's fatty acids and glycerine are produced according to "Halal" and "Kosher" requirements and are exported worldwide.

Acidchem gained early recognition in 1983 by being awarded the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturer's Award for "New and Improved Product Development" for its 99% Lauric Acid. As part of its continuing emphasis on quality, the company achieved the ISO 9002 certification in 1995. This was followed by the HACCP/GMP, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications in 2005.
