Derichem (M) Sdn Bhd

Derichem was incorporated in 1984 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of IOI Oleochemical Industries Berhad. It is involved in the downstream oleochemical business through the production and sale of soap noodles under the Palmsabun brand. It started production of soap noodles in 1994 using the fatty acids as feedstock supplied by Acidchem. It has a production capacity of 75,000 MT/annum with complete facilities for soap noodles production. The soap noodles are used as intermediates for the production of soap bars.

Besides producing soap noodles for standard opaque soaps, Derichem has expanded its production line to cater for specialty soaps, including translucent soaps. Derichem's products are exported throughout the world.
