Esterchem, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of IOI Oleochemical Industries Berhad involved in the supply and marketing of fatty esters.
Esterchem supplies a wide range of cosmetic esters through esterification of Palmac fatty acids with various types of monohydric alcohols. Both KOSHER and HALAL grade esters for the Personal Care sector are supplied and marketed under PALMSURF trademark.

The remarkable versatility of fatty esters is apparent in practically hundreds of commercial applications. Cosmetic grade ester are extensively used in the personal care industries due to their nature of being non-irritating, non toxic and having low viscosity and good emolliency. They function as emollients, lubricants and solubilisers for lipid-soluble active ingredients.
